I can see both sides of the issue for photographers, but going back to the old business model before microstock existed is not possible and is actually short sighted. Photographers need to evolve and progress with the technology.

I'm in agreement with Rick Dahms, on the "Nail in the coffin" comment, but only in that the traditional stock photography business model is not possible. It needs to change to include microstock. Isn't that why Getty Images acquired iStockphoto?

It is a proven business model for both stock photo companies such as Getty and photographers.
